What: On a cool but clear day out at the Capay Open Space regional park, YoloSol cultural practitioners Diana and Christina Almendariz shared Native Californian stories, games and ecological knowledge at the grand opening of Yolo County Library’s Senorita Mariposa’s (Ms. Butterfly’s) story trail. This bi-lingual, (Spanish and English) self-guided story trail is a fun way for families to explore the migration story of monarch butterflies. 

As Diana shared, planting milkweed could help bring real monarch butterflies back to this reclaimed gravel mine along lower Cache Creek.
